What is Quantum Hypnosis*?
Quantum Hypnosis – is a method for achieving “deep trance” pioneered by Dolores Cannon. Trance is something we all experience many times a day. When driving, or daydreaming or watching TV, we go into a light hypnotic trance. This explains how you can drive for miles and not remember anything you saw during that time. Or you can read a few pages of a book and at the end, realize you don’t recall anything of what you just read. Studies have shown that within 30 seconds of turning on the TV, we enter a light trance state. As you can see from these examples we are actually hypnotized or in trance, a lot of the time. So this is nothing new to anyone.

Hypnosis is now used for healing past memories in your early childhood in this life, and can also reach back farther than that, if necessary, to find the initial cause of the problem. It is used for accessing the subconscious, which holds the key to many of the problems that we are dealing with in our lives – mental, physical, and emotional – originating in our past.

How do I know if I can be hypnotized?
That really depends on you. You don’t go to a hypnotherapist and say: “Ok, hypnotize me.” It doesn’t work that way. You are a big part of the equation. If you do not want to be hypnotized, then you will not allow yourself to be hypnotized.

How Does Hypnosis Work?
Let’s look at what hypnosis is. Hypnosis is a method for achieving deep trance, which allows us to let go of our everyday worries and stresses, and look at what is going on inside of us. If the body is sick, we can find out what is making it sick. If there are emotional things going on, we can get at the root cause of that. If there are mental issues, we can trace down where they are coming from.

Hypnosis allows you to take a “time out” from normal everyday tasks, to get in touch with things that you normally are unaware of in your busy life. Hypnosis slows you down and gives you a chance to relax and take care of things. And best of all you don’t have to do it yourself. You are not alone. Your hypnotherapist is there to ask the right questions, keep track of all the information, and then to discuss it with you afterwards.

Hello, I’m Mary Joan. I’ve been an Adlerian Psychotherapist for 12 years. I will be with you as we journey together to find the answers, back to where it all began. And once we find out where it all started, you can then begin the “healing” process.

Do I lose control when I’m hypnotized?
It is commonly believed that when a person is hypnotized they give up control. This comes from stage hypnosis, where people volunteer to get up before an audience, and play the fool for a short time. Most of the audience would never agree to that, and they think that these people are being hypnotized against their will. Not so. They are actually enjoying the suggestions they are being given by the hypnotist, and the freedom hypnosis gives them to get up on stage and act crazy.

Most people are pleasantly surprised to learn that we don’t lose control when we are hypnotized. We actually remain aware of everything we say and do while in hypnosis. We are using a natural ability to easily shift our focus inward, which allows us to establish a means through which to communicate with our deeper mind and inner wisdom.

Here are the facts about hypnosis.
When a person is in trance or hypnotized:

  • They are actually more in control than ever. They know exactly what is going on.
  • All their senses are heightened.
  • They are sensitive to all that’s going on around them, even things they would not be aware of in the conscious state.
  • If anything were to occur during the session that they didn’t approve of, they would wake up at once.
  • It’s the same as when you wake yourself up from a lucid dream.
  • The hypnotist can never make anyone do or say what they don’t wish to.

Can we get results with this kind of work?
Our results are obtained by working together, and establishing a rapport with your subconscious mind, so we can get the answers you are seeking. This requires that you have in mind to cooperate in every way you can. Hypnosis takes two people to make it work – the therapist and the subject. However you may want to read “All Healing is Self Healing”.

How Effective is Hypnosis for treating health issues?
In my practice as a psychotherapist I wanted a rapid and effective way to deal with persistent problems. And without a doubt, “Quantum Hypnosis” is by far the best kind of hypnosis I have ever worked with. It is the “Therapy of the Future” allowing us to restore ourselves to health. Our minds are extremely powerful, far more so than we ever imagined. Deep Trance hypnosis offers a way for us to access the deeper levels of the mind, where we can tap into the subconscious and manage our own health. I now offer it to those who request it.

  7. Desire for Physical or Emotional Resolution: Maybe you have a persistent illness. Could it be rooted in your past? The origins of physical ailments that persist and resist conventional treatment can possibly be found in our past. Your subconscious will tell you if your disease can be cured. Sometimes it is part of your life purpose. Either way, you will reach a clearer understanding in your own mind of why the condition is present in your life and what steps you need to take to let it go.
  8. Questions about Challenging Personal & Work-Related Relationships: Why do I have an aversion to some people for no good reason? Why do I continually seek out the same type of relationships that are no good for me? Understanding challenging relationships in your life is critically important.
  9. Elimination of Addictions from your life: cravings, smoking, food, weight loss. Hypnosis has long been a treatment of choice for those who need help with addictions of all kinds.
